Halloween has come and gone this year but a motion picture makeup school keeps the spirit of Halloween alive with a showcase of some of their creations for their final grade.
‘Body Spectra 2012’ is a veritable body painting extravaganza held each year at Trinity, in Cape Town, South Africa. “Body Spectra” is the final evaluation for all Motion Picture Make-Up and Motion Picture Production Design students of City Varsity School of Film and Creative Arts.
Their assignment is to create a human canvas using body paint, prosthetics and props. Some of the students creations are breathtaking to say the least. Costume and make-up are an integral part of cinema’s magic and, after sitting this final test, these students will go on to shape the films you will see in the future!
The incredible spectacle is also a fundraiser for local AIDS charities.
